Life of Pi #2

Dylan: Pi and Mr. Kumar went through the zoo and Mr. Kumar told him the names of the animals that they saw. They boarded a ship with a lot of animals. The ship sank and they tried to get Richard Parker to get on the lifeboat. A man shot the hyena and the zebra that was on the boat to put them out of their misery.

Chris: While facing the tragedy of a shipwreck, Pi is thrown overboard into a dingy which wasn't for the purpose for saving his life. Other crew members tried using him to free the lifeboat of a troubling hyena. After two and a half days, he comes to consider that his entire family is dead from the sunken ship. Now he sees that he is stranded with a Royal Bengal Tiger, a hyena, and a dead zebra and orangutan.

Donnie:  Pi is walking with Mr.Kumar through the zoo and talking to him. Mr. Kumar is going into great detail about the animals. Pi is still nonplussed about his religion son he becomes an atheist like Mr.Kumar

Adam: Pi, his family, and some zoo animals get on a boat to move to Canada. The ship sinks and some animals die from the tragedy. After Pi is stranded in the Pacific Ocean on dingy without his mom or dad he tries to survive this awful event.

Opinion(Chris): So far throughout the book, Pi’s struggle for survival and adaptation to his situation kept me on edge the entire time I was reading. The book adds suspense here and there, but leaves room for life lessons to be learned. His use of expanded vocabulary helps add to the intensifying events going on. I think the book is great so far and hoping to find a turn of events sometime soon.

Opinion(Dylan): My opinion on the book so far is good. At the beginning of the book I wasn't into it because when he would talk about all the different religions he would try to follow I would get confused. Now its grabbing my attention. When an action or gory part comes he goes into detail so you can imagine it very clearly. The book so far has been great and I'm ready to find out what is going to happen to him.
