The Alchemist 2nd BlogPost

(MICHAEL) Santiago goes on and meets an Englishman. They talk about how they both were told by a king that they were to follow their personal legends. They both decide to go on to Egypt and find their treasure. Santiago, the Englishman and the camel driver were talking about the alchemist. On the way they stop at the oasis because they want to talk and meet the alchemist. They ask a lot of people of they knew where to find the alchemist. Almost everyone they asked said they didn't know anything about that person. One day while Santiago was looking for someone else to ask about the alchemist, he meet Fatima. Santiago felt something for her and the next day when he saw her again he told her what he felt for her and that he wanted to be with her. (KAT) Fatima told him that she was okay with it but that she wanted him to go find his treasure and that she will wait for him to come back. Santiago finally meets the alchemist and the alchemist tries to convince Santiago to follow his dream and don’t give up just for love. He tells the boy that women from the desert know that they have to wait for their loved ones. So the boy tells the alchemist that he will go. During their way to the Pyramids, were his treasure is at, the boy starts talking about why they need to listen to their hearts. The boy tells him that it was becoming hard for him to listen to his heart, so they get into that conversation. After that conversation Santiago can now understand his heart and asked his heart never to stop speaking to him. (CARLA) Later they were stopped by a horseman and he asked the alchemist and the boy what they were doing in the middle of the desert were a war was about to start. The alchemist said they didn't have to go far that they were close so the horseman let them go. They kept on going and were stopped again by the chief. The chief asked who they were and what they were doing there and the alchemist told the chief that he was helping the alchemist to find some place. The alchemist said that the boy which he said was the alchemist, could turn himself into wind and destroy the dunes where they were at. So the chief laughed and said he wanted to see that and the alchemist told him that the boy needed three days. So the third day the boy said he wasn't ready that he didn't know how to turn into wind. The boy started talking to the desert then the wind and sun and then he prayed. That's when the sandstorm started and it destroyed the dunes where they were at. The boy got to the Pyramids and cried, because he had made it but then two men beat him up and took the gold he had. They told Santiago that they had a dream that they were to go to the sycamore and dig right near there to find their treasure but that they were not stupid enough to do that. Santiago realized that his treasure was back at his home town. So Santiago found his treasure and was going back to Fatima.
